For a couple of years now also Trieste has been participating in this great mission: the Playing for Change Foundation in collaboration with the cultural association Kabadoo organize at the Teatro Miela Bonawentura in Trieste on Friday September 30 the charity concert Playing for Change Day 2016, an initiative that takes a melting pot of people, cultures, music, history and traditions to Trieste. PAROVEL is proud to support the work of the Foundation through the collaboration with Kabadoo association that organizes the evening.
12 schools and music programs in Bangladesh, Brazil, Ghana, Mali, Nepal, Rwanda, South Africa and Thailand, more than 1,000 young people attending free lessons of dance, musical instruments, music languages and theory, all taught by qualified local teachers. In addition, projects that help meet the essential needs of the entire community in order to ensure the essential supply of food, drinking water, medicine, clothing, books, school supplies, solar energy, computers and other modern technologies. Playing for Change Day contributes to all this: the "Global Day of Music for a Cause" is dedicated to the Playing for Change Foundation and its activities aimed at children through music.
The main purpose of the Foundation is to build and support schools and music programs, in particular the Trieste concert wants to support a music therapy project, fostered by Azzurra association, which is a non-verbal educational and rehabilitative tool of communication in favor of children who need a supportive care.
The artists involved in the evening of September 30 at the Teatro Miela Bonawentura in Trieste will be: FRANCO "TORO" TRISCIUZZI & MANLIO MILAZZI, two of the strongest performers of Trieste scene with a performance of blues, folk and rock 'n' 'roll that excites and make people dance; LEONARDO ZANNIER, twenty years experienced professional actor and singer, swing lover, caught between theater and music, now devoted to musical theater and in 2016 anchorman of two special format on Foxlife television; KEEP OUT, aka Maurizio "Icio" Sterni, Luisa Lo Presti, Luca Lucchesi, William Millo and Mimmo Domenico Tucci, newly formed band with solid experience musicians that offers a 360 ° repertoire of cover songs filtered through the search for new sounds and different solutions in the arrangements. Finally, the special guests of the evening will be the talented French percussionist HENRI DISSAKE already on the major festival stage as "Jazz Under the Mango Tree", "Ya Jazz Festival", "Jazz in St. Louis" and SOUL CIRCUS GOSPEL CHOIR versatile vocal ensemble born in Ronchi dei Legionari (Go) in 2002, directed by the charismatic Massimo Devitor, with the aim of celebrating the classic gospel music, spirituals, traditional African music and beyond.
The proceeds of the evening will be donated to charity.

From 22 to 26 September in Turin there is Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, "the most important international event dedicated to food and gastronomy: the MARKET hosts exhibitors from five continents, including the SLOW FOOD PRESIDIA, numerous EVENTS dedicated to the wealth and diversity of global cuisine, FOOD TRUCKS, STREET FOOD, and ARTISANAL BEER, CINEMA SCREENINGS, the prestigious ENOTECA, CONFERENCES examining issues around food production, the FORUMS of Terra Madre’s FOOD COMMUNITIES and more. And on 24-25 also Parovel will be invited to present its Ul'ka 100% bianchera which is a 2015 Slow Food Presidium. Access to the event is free, and the only tickets are those provided for events booked and paid for, such as "TASTING WORKSHOPS", the "COOKING SCHOOL", the "EVENTS AT THE TABLE", some of the "EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS".
The event takes place in several places in the city: PARK OF VALENTINO welcomes the Italian and international market along with some Italian regions and some partners of the event; the Medieval Village (which will host educational activities); Castello del Valentino - Turin Polytechnic and Torino Esposizioni - University of Turin, where there will be the newest advertisements of Terra Madre: the heart of the city, from PIAZZA SAN CARLO to the Royal Palace, where where there'll be WINE TASTING WORKSHOPS dedicated to wine, other Italian regions and other event partners, the Food trucks and all Italian Presidia.
